Even Me EDC is a non-profit, faith-based organization established to provide comprehensive services to individuals and families, which will empower them to successfully navigate the opportunities and resources they will need to realize their full potential as productive citizens in our society.
Program Objective
The program initiative of Safe Transitions is to better prepare adolescents who are aging out of foster care and young adults who have recently aged out of foster care, for a life on their own that is both productive and promising. Statistics show that far too many youth that age out of foster care are unprepared to stand on their own. They lack the skills needed to maintain themselves once they are living independently thus many become wards of the state again by way of incarceration. A critical component of long-term success for the aged out population is employment.
